She got to put on some real clothes for the first time in almost 2 weeks and exclaimed "oooh I'm pretty!" she was free of her IV tether and had been walking around the floor saying her good byes to the staff. We've definitely made some favorites on the 5th floor at Children's. We'll be seeing them again on Tuesday when Aleysia heads in for her spinal scan and lumbar puncture. WE WILL BE PRAYING TODAY ON THIS HAPPY EASTER DAY for a CLEAR scan and NO SIGNS of metastasizing. Aleysia will also be having her central line surgically placed on Tuesday.
But today we won't worry. Today is a day to enjoy and to feel "normal" again for a while!
